They are home!!!

The doctor wanted to keep Sawyer another night ...
much to my disapointment.
Steve too felt like enough was enough.
He very kindly asked her to discharge them.

So, after one more dose of IV antibiotics at 6pm,we arrived at 7pm --- and a very happy reunion filled the room.
The kids were thrilled to be together.
The doc let me bring them into Sawyer's room.
They were thrilled to see where he had been sleeping the last 2 nights.

While playing with the crib, Shiloh found a "button."
After she pushed it, we realized she'd called the nurse.
As she walked into the room, Shiloh's face turned BRIGHT RED!
It was so cute ... I've never seen her blush!
The nurse was sweet ... she teased Shiloh, which made her blush more.

Home again, Sawyer was so excited to have toys to play with and the freedom to walk around and play with them, he didn't want to go to bed!

For now, he's still sleeping (7:40am).

I'm so thankful he's well.
10 more days of antibiotics.
I can truly say I'm thankful for Children's Hospital.
The staff was amazing...
and my husband made the right choice to take him.

Another little boy had been admitted with an ear infection in each ear, like Sawyer. He had pneunomia in both lungs, Sawyer's was only in his left lung. AND the pneunomia had moved into his blood. He was sedated and being kept under so they could administer antibiotics and keep him down. The doc said one or two more days and that would have been Sawyer!

Two other kids from co-op had the same sickness, at least one ending up in the hospital as well!

Thanks Gramma Stucky for advising Steve to take Sawyer in. We're so glad we did!

Home again, happily playing.
